Description
The QUANTUM Q47 is a handcrafted tube microphone built with the finest materials available today. It’s partially assembled with NOS parts such as: SIEMENS tube, vintage resistors, and vintage capacitors. We have also developed a special BV08 transformer to give it a smooth and present sound. The capsule is a German made K47 that will give the microphone character and a pleasant sensitivity. The Quantum Q47 is an excellent professional recording tool for doing post production in: film, television, radio and podcasts.
A microphone with a vacuum tube gives superior sound quality, smooth clipping and is widely considered more musical than transistors. Wider dynamic range than transistors circuits, due to higher operating voltages and overload tolerance. Highly linear without negative feedback, especially small-signal types. Characteristics are: highly independent of temperature, greatly simplified biasing. Tolerant of large overloads and voltage spikes. Tubes can also be replaced relatively easy by the user.
